I noticed that you cut with the saw blade slightly higher then the recommended 16th or 1/4 inch. Is there a reason for this.?
@smfield If the blade just barely breaks the surface of the workpiece it can have tendency to fracture or splinter the top especially if the blade is not at peak sharpness. So just a little extra extension makes the cutting action of the tooth more in downward direction where the tooth meets the workpiece. It also helps with dust collection where the cut material is ejected into the saw housing instead of being sprayed across the surface. Not much gets by you.
thank you!!! More Please!!! Awesome .. .. ..
